    If a digibox breaks due to lightning .Under garentee can you get a new box. Or is the old one taken for repair.

    I assume that it is not, infact im sure, but dont say that to sky, just say your box wont work anymore, play dumb, you just dont know what happened and they should take it back and inspect it and you could get lucky.

    Strictly speaking this is not covered under warranty but should be covered under household insurance. I would follow chernobyls advice , return it to the shop and just say it stopped working. You have got nothing to lose and you might get lucky. If you bought it from an independaent retailer please play fair and bring the box to him as he will have to pay somebody to come and collect it.
