is sky plus available in ireland

    just like the subject says, " is the "new" sky plus box available in ireland yet?"

    and what features are currently available here now?

    1. email?
    2. web?
    3. that little red button?
    4. shopping?
    5. stereo?
    6. games?

    Nope.

    and what features are currently available here now?

    1. email?     Nope
    2. web? Nope (not available in UK either)
    3. that little red button? It works, but more for "active" presentations, like Sky News etc. But for the next part.....
    4. shopping? Nope.
    5. stereo? Yup. New fangled Dolby Digital Surround sound not available yet, only on Sky +
    6. games? We can play some of them, but then they may ask you connect , which, of course, we cant.

    Okay. So can i get/use a sky plus box here in ireland yet? im guessing the answer is no. any idea when that is coming?

    I have the Sky + box. Got it myself in the UK.

    The recording functionality has not been activated yet as they have not sorted out the price for the extra subscription (£10Stg in the UK). I've been told that it will be early Spring.

    The Dolby Digital output is working and some of the movies on Sky Premiere widescreen and Sky Box Office Widescreen are broadcast in Dolby 5.1.
