compared to what? I would much rather be sipping a cocktail (which was served to me by my cute little servant boy) by the pool of my villa which I paid for in cash.....
apart for that, I'm delightful, thanks :)

well compared to what you thought you'd end up doing.

well, just over 2 years ago i was pressing buttons in a factory for 12 hours wokring nights.
getting paid peanuts and generally having very ill health and having a crap social life.

now i am working a generally 9 to 5 job (sometimes 8 to 4) setting up networks, doing support type roles, doing role outs etc as an it field engineer in the oil industry.
    and i love it.
and they pay me lots of money.

but id rather be on the beach sipping a cocktail as well

No, not at all. Going to have a chat with my boss over money and repsonibilities. Currently the cleaner is treated better and has more respect, yet myself and my lowly coworkers do most of the work. Tech support sucks.

Just putting off the inevitable hell of returning to the real world when you're finished :) You'll be one of us again soon.

I walked out on a dream job because of, erm, 'irreconcilable differences'. I just was not happy where I was. The experience was solid gold, the pay was fantastic, the people were some of the best in the industry to learn from, blah blah blah.

I took what amounts to a 35% pay cut and went back to filing pieces of paper for a living. I had to move back home. I'm flat broke all of the time.

The fact remains, when I get up in the morning, I don't have to go into that job.

    I couldn't be happier if I tried.
