    sorry if this has been answered before but will SCTV's digital service be receivable in Co. Waterford

    Internet Services will be provided on the SCTV service.
    To receive high speed Internet services in addition to the standard equipment the subscriber will require an extra interface receiver between the Set-Top Box (STB) and PC.
    The main advantage for the subscriber is the speed at which the SCTV network can deliver information either while browsing or downloading files.
    SCTV subscribers will be able to download files in fifteen minutes that would normally take in excess of 80 hours through a normal telephone line.
    There is also a facility to send instant pop up e-mails throughout the SCTV network.

    Does anyone know if irish DTT services would have to be available on SCTV Digital
    or any other services for that matter?

    its nice to see that sctv did something with their website. Just a pity they didnt do enough. if anyone from SCTV is reading this board, please stop getting 10 year olds to do your web design and you might end up with a better end product.


    Also, update your collectors please as I was told that you had not been awarded a digital license only last night. On the other hand its nice to see another (and somewhat more feasable) broadband internet product which may become available by the end of 2002.
    finally the Southcoast tv website has been updated and they have their digital licence and hope to be broadcasting digital by the end of this summer

    dont hold your breath, this was supposed to be up and running since last september. Ohh and.. whats a "pop-up email"? any relation to standard email?
