Red Dot on CHORUS Sky Sports 3

I've had this blasted Red Dot on Sky Sports 3 for months now - thankfully nothing of any interest is ever on the channel - but it's still mildly annoying.

I don' have a digital service so I can't push the magic back-up button, but I presume the experts at CHORUS could do so. Also, does this mean that CHORUS are taking a digital feed and re-distributing it over analogue?

The back-up buton now only works until the next ad-break when Sky stick it back on!

I know ITV Digital users have the same problems with unusable interactive buttons on their screen. Not sure about cable users in the UK. NTL in Dublin doesn't have them.

I, however, am a Sky Digital user. I do not wish to use their interactive services but am forced to put up with these buttons on increasing numbers of channels:confused:

i have Sky Digital and i too am harrassed by the horrible little dot. there is a way of getting rid of it. so Chorus if you are reading. press the red button, immediately press backup and hey presto it is gone for good until the channel is changed on the Sky digibox

As someone said above, it comes back at the next ad break. But there is a way to get rid of it - tune the channel in via "Other Channels" and use that as the source for the particular channel - it will never appear if it is done this way - in fact some SKy Channels have special "cable" feeds which cable companies are supposed to use.

I once saw Chorus in Athlone where they seemed to have to have the UK version of Sky News (UK ads by the look of it) with the red dot. They seem to have fixed this now.
