    i do know of several companies that import specialist models from japan alright, but haven't come across any from the US.

    Yeah, that's because the Japanese drive on the left, same as us. American cars, being left hand drive would be a lot more awkward to drive on Irish roads.

    just look in the classe car mags there is loads of companys and people in the uk who inport them, plus loads of other US and rare cars, but chances of finding one in ireland is about 1 in 5,000,000,000.

    I saw one for sale in the Irish Times aroudn 5 months ago, so someone in this country definitely has one. Make sure to paint it red and call it "General Lee" :)

    AFAIR, it was £5500 or so. If you were to go for more money, say around £10-15000 you could pick up a much sweeter Camaro. Maybe not even that. £15000 is more like Mustang prices.

    Camaros rock (esp. the RS model with the PS2-like grill all the way across and flippy lights :) ).

    I would not pay 15,000 Irish for a Mustang you can pick up a very nice one in the US for about $10-12,000 from some nice hot part of the US that it never rains in.

    think about bringing it in from the UK (or even the US =more work) you will get much better prices that you will over here.

    no if you did it for a new car they your not going to save any money but if your buying a car over 30 years old you do not have to pay vrt at all, and you will get much better prices and better cars to pick from. the price of shiping a car is not that much.
