Why doesn't everyone post up a piece of art (of any type) they've done recently? I'll go first: I took this photo just before christmas near my house and I just got it developed.

This is not a original piece. Half of it is copied, and alas the image is very bad quality due to compensation of bandwitdth.

this is a 3d animation thingy I'm working on at the moment. The wee guy will act as an avatar for kids. He's already character studio-ised and has facial animation in place so he can move and speak easy (ISH!). I've built a bedroom, a sitting room a bathroom and a kitchen for him to hang out in and will be adding interactivity to various elements within each room such as games etc. Its a fairly big undertaking but its for a good cause. As you can see i've only been using MAX (nearly all are) base textures so it looks fairly cak. I'll do up the textures over the next while and do some proper lighting and maybe throw up a comparison here.

Im debating doing a girl avatar as well but I don't think I'll have the time.

This is somthing i did quite a while ago (about 6 /7 months ago). I also threw it up on da boards @ the time, but with the databace problems b.ie was having the thread only lasted the better part of 2 hours b4 it got sucked into oblivion

Its the only non-corprate thing i've done in a long while.

btw dave, that img Ro><0rs, what maps did ya use on the spheres ?

The spheres are in a hollowed cube with some map i found so they just reflect off each other.

you had to do it didnt you! everyone else posted nicely sized images that fit in 1152 x 864... but noo... now this page has scrollbars on the bottom! the bottom! god (god rest his soul) never intended scrollbars to go there!

not for me, i dont know what the problem could be, perhaps its the whole dns resolution thingy, but it works okay for me, and I wouldve assumed the domain would be fully propagated by now.

Monty afaik used terragen which is a freeware program for non commerical use, I lost the link to it ages ago, so maybe monty could point you to it.

LittleFigment: what's that camera you use?? Eg. the bottom photo?

Its a lomograph supersampler. its a class little camera that takes 4 images each delayed a split second from the last on to the one negative. The other two images are croped to one image. They did look like the last one.

Something I've been fúckin' around with over the last day or two... dunno where it's gonna go from here because it doesn't feel finished. It started of as a photo of some woman doin' yoga or something. Any ideas, anyone?

Kewl stuff,

Beaver, I'd imagine somthing in the top right corner should ballance it out mainly, theres also abit (too much?) space @ the bottom, unless ur planning on using it for somthing, mabye a symbol or text or somthing ?

Cool, Monkey. Your lino prints musta been pretty damn small then? Fair play coz they're nice and detailed.

Oeneus - nice image, dude. Is the "burning numbers" (82?) effect done manually or was it part of something else?

It was an image of a document. I just tinted it to a burning colour and blurred it.
