I bought a webcam (Intel Deluxe PC Camera) a few days ago. To my shock, no drivers are included on the CD for Win 2000 or XP. You got to download them from their website. To get it on CD, you pay the gits €25 shipping!

However, it's a bas&*$* getting all 425MBs down...dropped connections from Intel's side all the time. I'm only managing to pull it in at about 10KB/s. - on aDSL!!!

Was hoping someone had a fat pipe and stick it on a site for a couple of hours, or three...?

    It's a long shot, I know :)

Anyway, if you're up to it, here's the URL:

    ftp://bigftp.cps.intel.com/support/pccamera/ugcd-intl.exe

    Muchos Gracias!

EDIT : Note to Mods - soz, meant to post this on the Technology forum. Could you move it, please?

Man, that server is rubbish. Good luck. I'd do it for you to a box of mine, but it looks like it would take a day or so.

That's pathetic, those drivers being so big, I'd complain about that, and bring the camera back if they don't do something immediately. I'd never put up with that from anyone! 400mb for drivers! *shocked*

Why would you buy a webcam if you didn't have net access, OJ?

    WTF.

How can they produce a set of drivers that are 400Megs in size. Most modern operating systems don't take up much more than that.

As for buying a webcam if you've got no net access, ... Home made *cough* porn, maybe! ;)
