    opinions?

i absolutely loved it, and found it so easy to watch, in spite of it's droll pace and dreary events. easily more watchable than o brother where art thou, which i had thought the coen brothers ultimate popcorn movie.

    dead impressed, me...

It was good, although I would say if you don't like the Coen brother's stuff don't even bother seeing it as it'll bore the arse off you. And I think James Gandolfini's fears of being typecast as Tony Soprano have already come true, I found it very difficult not to expect him to say 'those goddamn motherless fucks!!' at any minute :)

Strangest Coen Brothers flick yet, and thats saying something. Tony Shalhoub is great, but i think its pretty much only for Coen devotees.

    I enjoyed it:)

The lawyer guy...Freddy (?) was great. I dont really like "Billy Bob" but i think the role suited him quite well. Frances McDormand was excellent as usual!
    Good Flick:)

[ BTW, theres rumours going around the reason it was shot in B & W, was because Billy has turned orange from the effects of his Vitamin C Diet:p- Just kidding!, but look closer at him the next time;) Its Freeeeaakkyy!! ]

    At a guess

I didn't like Lebowski, quite liked Fargo, thought Hudsucker was the greatest thing I's ever seen.

    Think I'd like it?

(have exams so I'm rationing my cinema trips - have to be more selective for the next month)

That's his own fault for being in "The Mexican" (er, playing a slightly sensitive Tony Soprano)

Yep pencil this one in Sceptre.
If you liked Hudsucker, I'd say you'll like this.

In fairness, you are unlikely to see much better in the next few months except of course LOTR and very few others:)

..I loved it. Thought it could be draging a bit half-way through, but the best was yet to come. They played the lolita-esque bit very well imo, and both billy-bob and frances mcdormand where there usual flawless selves.

cant wait for the video. definitly worth another viewing.

if only ever film was made by the coens
