Well im ordering isdn on monday and i love q3 :)

I heard that the only decent way to play q3 with isdn is to play at 128k, is it true?

    Thanx

There are two important features of your connection - bandwidth and latency. Q3 doesn't need a lot of bandwidth (though you can set it to use more if available) but latency is vital as it determines how much you will lag behind the game playing on the server. "Ping" is the measure of round-trip latency.

On top of any round-trip delay between your ISP and the server you are connecting to, an analogue modem will add around 100ms, ISDN will add around 40ms and a leased line will add around 10ms.

Shaving 60ms off your ping will vastly improve your ability to react and dodge.
