Some info there, not really reliable on the speed traps - the site doesn't seem to have been updated in ten months.

Fprgot to add - you're not being paranoid if you think the Gardai are trying to keep an eye out for you if you speed - they are.

A conspiracy? Yup, even the government's in on it.
