yep, RTÉ hit the big 4-0 last night, and tonight, they are going to celebrate it, with lost of clips and shows, and wheeling Thelma Mansfield from the old folks home. :)

One of the trailers has a clip of the Safe Cross Code in it. I wonder will we see the whole clip in full?? :)

On another note, catch the little clips of folk around the country giving their reminisces of RTÉ, especially the one at 7:55pm on RTÉ 1 !!!

A bloke, a wagon, and his website will be made reference to!

    Happy new year to all,

    Damien.

I saw the Big 40 programme tonight. I quiet enjoyed it. I thought it was well presented and was well produced. I think the programme not only showed the 40 years of RTE, but the Nation growing up. Looking at the early B&W reports at the beginning of the programme it looked like a third world country which it probally was. Yes most of us have Sky now. We have a lot to choose from. But RTE is the broadcaster we turn to in the event of National coverage. RTE, well i complain about it but hey its not all bad. After all there is worse!~!!!!!!!
