Which Actor appeared in the most Hollywood Feature Films in the 1990's

I couldn't find the answer anywhere on the net so a big pat on the back to whoever gets it.

This is a fairly famous person yeah ? I thought a not so famous actor would be the winner.

If its very famous maybe Sam Jackson or Gene Hackman, but I'm thinking some supporting actor would be it.

This guy would generally be a supporting actor, and if you've seen only the big movies in the 1990's you'll still know him:)

I would of guessed Samuel L. Jackson or Robert De Niro....

    Then I found this http://deniro.virtualave.net/news012000.htm
    1. Samuel L. Jackson, 36 movies, $1.7 billion. A small role in The Phantom Menace (as Jedi council member Mace Windu) helped this actor's box-office take rise exponentially. Other blockbuster roles, as shark chum in Deep Blue Sea and dinosaur bait in Jurassic Park, justify no room for sequel work. But his "bad motherf--ker" hitman Jules in Pulp Fiction is what really put this actor on the map. Look for him in 2000 as another "bad mother" in the remake of Shaft.

This puts him 1st for Appearances ( 2nd Harvey Kietel[30 movies]) and box office takings ( 2nd Robin williams[$1.6billion]).

    Ok the answer is.....

    Stephen Tobolowsky
    04_groundhog.jpg

You prolly know him best as Ned Ryerson in Groundhog Day amongst many others!!
Here are a few link to prove the point.....
    http://us.imdb.com/Name?Tobolowsky,+Stephen
    http://www.who-is-that.com/04_stephen_tobolowsky.asp?ART_ID=4

The IMDB link will show all his films- Its actually pretty mind boggling the amount of really huge and successful films he has been in:eek:

    Enjoy:)

    But of course !!!!

Fair play to the guy, but when you think of the 47 that Sam Jacksons done and the money he got for his roles !

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 752 ✭✭✭Loomer

I'm impressed - It was only the other night I saw him in Mississippi Burning. I count 39 feature films on IMDB coz you don't count that TV muck. I think Samuel L. Jackson is at 37. So until I find one higher.... :)
