Well its half way through the season and I've had a few offline arguments about this with mates and it always seems a topical discussion so we'll see how this goes...

You seem to have two too many forwards Yop
    Forwards->
    Thierry Henry/Owen
    Ruud Van Nistelroy/Hasslebank

Which two would you eventually decide on if you had to?

You'd be hard pressed to find anyone more consistent- It was prolly the one I mulled over the most- Danny Mills has impressed as has Steve Finan. The other real tough Decision was GK....Dudek and Van De Saar have both been excellent but I gave it to Shay Given based on his international performances as well.

    I told y'all... Its a game of opinions !

I'd simply name the best Liverpool 11, subtract
a midfielder and add Roy Keane, subtract Heskey and add Fowler (oops!).

    Mike.

Consistently What? Average? Carragher IMHO is way overated, Liverpool don't even know which is his best position, he is consistently onimious.
As for Gerrard, he needs a rest.

He plays right back- thats fairly established- If he has played in the centre of defence it has only been because of injury to either Sami H. or Stephán H.- To the best of my knowledge he hasn't played anywhere else all season:)

    Gk Cudiccini (Che)

    Rb Mills ( Lee )
    Lb Ziege ( Tot )
    Cd Hypia ( Liv )
    Cd Ferdinand ( Lee )

    Rm Pires ( Ars )
    Lm Giggs ( Manu )
    Cm Roy Keane ( Manu)
    Cm Vierra (Ars )

St Van Nistleroy ( Manu )
    St Henry ( Ars )

I know Ziege might be a bit controversial but I think Rjise is very good going forward but is a bit week at defending, which is his main role. I think he would make a better winger then full back.

Didn't Liverpool sell Ziege and buy Riise causse they needed someone who could defend as well as attack????

Don't get me wrong no one was more upset when Ziege was sold, I liked his style but I do think Riise is a better defender.

    hello?

    GK -> Dudek or Cudiccini

and Carragher. is a v good defender and nothing else, he adds nothing in an attacking sense. He'll be out of the starting spot once Babbel returns.

I would go for Henry and Van Nistelrooy, Owen is a sick note and Hasslebank is getting on

you havent seen him at spurs then.
    hes been absolutely tremendous.
i think it was just an issue of being ain a team that plays a different style. liverpools counter attack meant he wasnt able to get forward as much, whereas at spurs with build up play now being used (thank god) hes turned into an excellent attacking wing back, who is actually defending as well.
cant wait to see him and stevie carr back in action.
two flying wing backs who only score from 50 yards!

Good ol' 4-4-2 with overlapping full-backs needed here I think:

    GK: Nigel Martyn

    Back Four:
    Ashley Cole
    Martin Keown
    Sammi Hyppia
    Gary Neville

    Midfield:
    Ryan Giggs
    Patrick Viera
    Steven Gerrard
    Robert Pires

    Attack:
    Thierry Henry
    Michael Owen

I think that team would have a decent crack at most anyone in the Premiership.

    Occy
