Seeing as this board is pretty vacant of posts, just thought Id ask how many ppl have played this game. It is one of the most fun board games Ive ever played, with four players, its simply couldnt be beat. Your thoughts?

P.S. Does anyone know if it is still available in Cork, its been out of production for years, but heres hoping.

AHhh .... the memories flood back to playing it in my childhood .. and being really tense about what that blip is around the corner!!

I have the game along with the 2 exp.packs - "Mission Dreadnought" and "Eldar Attack".

Mission Dreadnought included 8 new Dreadnought classes ranging from the mildy big to absurdly HUGE and equipped with guns... LOTS of them. But the marines had some really cool and destructuive new weapons too, so that was ok (until you met the BIGGGG daddy dreadnought where you wet your pants).

I also have the computer game on c64 and pc (I'll dig up the pc version and stick up a url link on this board when I find it).

Dunno about buying the game itself anymore though. I haven't seen it in YEARS!!

I have 2 sets in my room still, still one of my favourite games of all times. We used to have 4 sets between myself and a few mates, and would get massive 16 board games going with all the extra eldar and dreadnoughts etc. Mad I tell you. Mad.

Nope .. you did it the hard way (assuming you were playing marines!) :D ye daftie!! :p

You could give the marines assault cannons and close combat weapons like lightning claws and storm hammers & shields, along with psyhic guys that were rather hard (well .. you needed the expansion packs and/or space hulk "campaigns" book). Then again .. the genestealers got given mutated versions (hybrids) who were able to use heavy weapons like missle launchers. Oh yeah ..a nd they also had psyhic guys too ... EEP!!!
