    West Ham 1
    Liverpool 1

...thank God for Jerzy Dudek, the mid-field were ****e and the strikers left stranded. Still at least Michael Owen finally got his
    100th goal :D

The tactical limitations of Phil Thompson have been fully exposed
    methinks....:(

    Mike.

Game in hand... GAME IN HAND!!!!

Liverpool .., Poor team, No Flair, Relay on Owen too much, Steven Gerrard deffo feeling the pressure at the mo & Thompson .. well I just hope Houllier does'nt get better too soon.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,695 ✭✭✭b20uvkft6m5xwg

Gary Mac is so much more effective coming off the bench. I cant remember when he had a good game as a starter!?

We are wobbling ATM...No doubt about it.

[now I'm starting to get that nervousness in the pit of my stomach I always used to get waiting for the results:(]

yea true on no flair but i tink they still have a chance, us fans might have to persevere 1-0 a lot which is not worth it no way

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,538 ✭✭✭PiE

They have flair, and they could rip apart teams like West Ham... if they were allowed to attack!

Who am I to diss the tactic that won us the cups so far though...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

I have to admit I'm starting to tire of the counter-attack
approach, yes it worked well last season and we're still well placed but others have rumbled us. A more foward looking game is needed if only to take the opposition by surprise. Maybe
go mad and start with three strikers!.

Also is it me or has Murphy gone downhill at a rate of knots
lately while Gerrard does'nt seem his old (young) self either...

    Mike.

Hopefully Houllier has realised the same thing from his hospital bed, an outsiders view like, and maybe change things a bit when he returns.

    Here's hopin'...

when hamman isn't playing, liverpool suc. its simple, look at our results with him/without him. our best midfield atm would be

    berger, hamman, litmanen, gerard

dunno if the management have the balls to play them 4 together tho.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,396 ✭✭✭✭kaimera

    Doubters the lot of yee...

I for one, still believe the title is well within our grasp......altho the sooner Gerard gets back, the better.

Thomo's limitiations are showing now ... just when we don't need them.
Selling Bob was a mistake. Hat-trick during the week?? ffs

Anelka WILL prove a shrewd loan deal ... give him time .. not too much tho ..:p

When all is said and done, 2 points behind the leaders with a game in hand at the New Year?
    A pretty good first half.

(( YES, the Festive season was shíte but c'mon, the opening months were classic ...the 'Pool of old.. ))

That won't count for much if we're 4th at the end of the season.

You're lucky that your match was called off. I could feel a Leicester upset in my waters :p

[80p goes away to clutch at more straws to explain Liverpool's crapiness against anyone in the bottom half of the Prem.]

Would not say Liverowen are losing the wheels but it is ominous.
If United beat NewCastle it gives a serious physicological advantage over the scousers when u consider that ye had a potential 11 point gap over us there 3 weeks ago!! and now we will be 1 point ahead of u.
Still reckon it willl be down between 4 teams going into the last month, even though all the top 5 teams meet each other at some stage this month so it could be clearer at the end of the month.

What did I say about ruling utd out??? G'Wan United.

At least it is a more interesting premiership race this year anyway.

As for selling Fowler, aka Leeds with Cantona!!!??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Dustaz

gotta agree with the manc here, best premiership in years. Wow, it could be very close at the end.....that reminds of a certain year;)

Ohhh, we are getting nearer the top now!! old territory revisited.

Got it right Dustaz, reckon that Newcastle may fall off but they have a cracking team and were a bit unlucky last nite for Solanos goal.

It should be nail biting down to the end I reckon, then a week or 2 later we will be into the World Cup, I feel a top notch 7 months of football ahead.

BTW: anyone want to buy Dwight "porn king" yorke, he is cack, anyone anyone.........

ha think how i feel. beating the likes of newcastle and hammering fulham and getting it together. and what happens, just as we put 5 wins in a row together we lose against ipswich and southhampton. makes me feel better that chelsea got hammered by them though :)
now, if chelsea can just completely loose it altogether for the worthington semi id be happy :)

well theres the small matter of the champions league to console Monsuir Wegner from the pain of being knocked out of the worthington cup....

    yeah whatever.
its amazing how quiet arsenal fans have been over the past few years. you manage to get in to the second phase for once and you think your gods gift.
not as classy as utd, not as exciting as liverpool, and definately not as good as leeds.
you will always be boring boring arsenal.

and i see you are all having a go at 'the traitor' anelka who left because he thought everyone at highbury was a wánker.
i guess he was talking about the people in the terraces as well.

with a bit of luck the french national teams plane will crash on the way to the world cup.
should see arseholenel and chelshíte out of action for a few years.....
