Yes, as you've probably surmised, the title of this thread refers to Arsenal's heroic demolition of the Reds at Anfield. Outplaying the 'pool with 10 men after Paul Durkin's brainless decision (I mean van Bronkhorst didn't even appeal ffs...) is no small achievement, and I shall join the stream of football pundits and fakirs in saying that great things are in store for us this season :)
Not only did we take the lead, we went two in front before the jammiest of mis-hit shots fell to Litmanen, giving Liverpool just enough luck to allow them to make something of a game of it 11 v 10. I've followed the Gunners since 1985, and not since the magic of Michael Thomas have I seen a match that makes me prouder to support the red half of North London :D

I would also like to extend my deepest sympathies to all you Spuds supporters out there; though the brilliance of the Arsenal's peformance may further dull your yuletide cheer, take heart I say! Looks like you're avoiding the drop again this year, that's something I'd be proud of if I was a spud :) Might even hit mid-table mediocrity, you never know...

    Wan the Gunners, etc. :)

High five back at ya Bob !!

Yes I have a smile a mile wide on the inside at the moment, eventhough my strained face isn't showing it (2 Xmas parties in a row on the past 2 nights have really messed me up !! I'm never drinking again, honest !!!)

I must ring my best mate the liverpool fan like I did after Micheal Thomas's exploits in the past :)

    /Sarcasm on

Now leave the poor Spuds fans alone Bob, Glenda said they could win the league this year :D so they must stand a chance.

    /Sarcasm off

    Gandalf.

    what a match :)
The faces on the pool fans when the second goal went in was priceless :)
Ah lads, steady on, it was nothing like 89 (best league finish EVAR), but if it propels the gunners to the glory we know they are capable of, then it will do:)

Occy, totally agree with you re: gio. He got straight back up! like wtf. Oi! Durkin! NOOOOOOOOOOO! :)

    Hey WWMan, Happy xmas ;)

    It was a great match.

And i had predicted the Gooners would put one over them to a 'pool fan just the day before.

What's his no. again, I must give him a ring ....

Sure its only justice for the cup final.
