    This lunchtime I booted up my Digibox and it went into
    DATA mode with just the NTL logo and a message about
    updating the service.

    I left the box on as requested and 5 hours later its still
    updating...!

    Anyone else have this happen to 'em?

    Methinks it's time for a reboot of the digibox, Mike.

    I only ever encountered that message for all of about 10 seconds following a reboot, following a freeze of the digibox.

    It did eventually, I unplugged twice for more than the 30 sec
    recomendation without effect, then I unplugged overnight.
    Fully expecting to have to phone NTL, I tried the following morning
    and everything kicked in as per normal.
