Inspired by the wonderful thread on the counterstrike board and the fact that my mouse is ****, I have decided to write this thread.

I need a new mouse. I was also going to go with technology and buy the logitech dual opti mouse, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it.

Although in one line my question is this: From a Linux perspective, is a ball or an optical mouse better, or do they function (onscreen anyway) in the exact same fashion.
