anyone found any bands that they thought "hey wait a minute they arernt so bad"

I mean audiogalaxy always feature some artist and they turn out to be kinda ok.......

I foudn this band called "beulah" and the song was "the rise and fall of our hero"

its actually really kool and also i heard on Xfm this band called the Minders who have many a good song but in particular one called "hand me downs" which is really good aswell,..........

And last but not least i heard them ages ago but only lately did i find out there're part of all that sweedish band scene "the international noise conspiricy" the song i first heard of theres was "enslavement blues"

I 'm not trying to convince anybody to like any of these bands but maybe if you can't find anything on audiogalaxy to download you could try them out.......

anyone else got any bands to suggest????

Braid and the Get-up Kids are stars. Two other greats that are unknown and completely unavailable here are The Dismemberment Plan
( http://www.dismembermentplan.com/planset.htm ) and Death Cab For Cutie. DCFC are amazing. If you want to listen to them go to
    http://www.barsuk.com/web.cgi?dcfc&dcfcmp3s
If they don't blow your mind talk to me.

the get-up kids are really bad...i think.

Grade on Victory Records are the business though.
    Clutch are deadly aswell.
Dillinger Escape Plan are cool too if you're into that kinda thing.

    Fantastic song. :)
    Really beautifull instrumental peice.

But it's true... You'd never even know they were death metal at all.
They do some of the most emotional, mellow music I've ever heard.

    >yeah i liek the neutral milk hotel ther's great in an aeroplane over the sea or something right?

Aye. That LP is fine work. Hard enough to find, unfortunately.

    >where are the music tapes from?

Saw and assorted instrument player from NMHotel. Makes great scritchy records with pop-up sleeves.

    >and you think beulah will ever come here to play a gig?

Probably not. They've missed us out on every tour so far. Why not try to get them over yourself! Shifty Disco (www.shiftydisco.co.uk) is their UK label and could be contacted re: dates here...
