NTL digital front end..

Does anyone know of a way to hook up ntl digital so i can get rid of their software package thing (and i hate that remote). I used to be able to do it with my sky sports and decoder so the channels were decoded on the tv set and i didnt have to switch to the decoder channel. Is this possible with the digital signal?
