ADSL trial - anyone useing win xp?

    Anyone using win xp on a trial setup?
    Will eircom installer have a problem with a machine running xp?

    The universal lesson: do not use ISP installer CDs!!!
    If using USB modem, got to manufacturer website for WinXp drivers (e.g. www.alcateldsl.com)
    If using Ethernet or USB with updated drivers, Win XP has native support for PPPoE, so you don't need the Enternet app on the i-stream installation disk.
    I have not gone through this, but in principle it's even simpler than dial-up - you don't need the phone number in this case.

    you dont seem to understand,
    ethernet model, he wont touch your pc

    USB he may or may not install the modem, put it is you that installs the software.

    BTW, the answer is no, you wont have a problem

    MadKevo, he much better off using a third party pppoe software program.
