now im not big into consipiricy theories, huge corperate underhandedness or stuff like that, but being bored in work today i decided to read this

    www.GuerrillaNews.com/cocakarma

not sure if its been up here before. as usual im proabbly the last person to know about these things. but damn, it had me fixed for an hour reading all about some incridible cover ups and total bugger ups by coke and the judicial system in the states.
to be honest, i dont think john grisham could have come up with a courtroom thriller as good as this one.
amazing what you can get away with if youve got the backing of lots of money and power.
anyway, read yourself if youve got a spare hour :)

I'm pretty sure it has been posted several times before....I seem to recall reading it several months ago, and boards is about the only place I'd be likely to ahve found the URL.

Like you, I think it is a gripping read. Excellently written, for the most part, and so outrageous that if you wrote it as a book- or movie-plot, it would be thrown out and laughed at for its sheer implausibility!

Of course, as with all of these stories, it is important to remember that the "facts" are slanted by the source. Guerillanews is hardly likely to be completely objective.....

That said, with things like this going on and getting no press attention, DMCA rapidly becoming non-news-worthy and so on, one really has to wonder at the way it all works....

A cynic would say that the corruption in the system is backed by a willing media who do not want to upset the major powers by outing their dirty secrets. If it aint reported, its obviously not a problem.

Fortunately, I am not a cynic.

    jc
