    Hi all,
I'm sure some of you know about this already, but we received some worrying news this morning about Mic Christopher. Apparently he was seriously injured in a fall at the weekend and is in intensive care in Amsterdam where he had been supporting the Waterboys on their tour.

The news as of this morning is that he's stable but still unconscious and on a ventilator. We'll try and keep you posted on the latest news of his condition but in the meantime, remember him in your prayers.

Just a couple of websites you might want to check out:

    * The Frames website have updates on the message board. Claire has been posting the latest on Mic's condition:

    http://www.theframes.ie/message_board/messageboard.html

    * A book has been set up on Mic's own website for people to show their thoughts for him:

I wish there was good news to tell, but we're still waiting. Apparently the next day or two are critical. All we can do right now is pray

I'll try and keep you posted on his progress. As of this morning (Tuesday), there was no change: "still stable, critical and heavily sedated."

    Hang in there, Mic...

According to Claire on the Frames messageboard:

11.22am - doctors now mildly optimistic!
Message: so - some glimmer of good news just in. as mic has kept fighting over the past 24 hours and is still with us, the doctors there this morning are 'mildly optimistic'. he is obviously not out of the woods yet by a long stretch - but at least he is still hanging on in there. they are going to keep him heavily sedated for the next 5 days in a hope that the brain swelling will go down by then, and after that theyll take him off the tranqs etc and its down to him.....best, cx

Many thanks to Claire at www.theframes.ie for the news:

Latest news as of this evening (Wednesday) is that Mic is "hanging in much better" since they released some of the pressure on his brain. He had a scan earlier and it looks like there's no actual brain damage, so good news there. The best news is that he's still with us after the past crucial 72 hours

The friends of Mic Christopher have set up a bank account to receive donations of any size to alleviate the financial strain on Mic's family at this crazy time.

If you feel that you would like to donate, anything at all from 1p to £1 or $1 then please do so by transfer into the following account:

Account Name: Mic Christopher Benefit Fund
    Account Number: 40912303
    Sort Code: 90 01 72
Bank of Ireland - Leeson Street, Dublin 2

ALL monies received will go directly to mic's family for any costs that are being incurred whilst he is ill.

Right - that's it for now. Hang in there, Mic. We're all rooting for you!

    P.
