Its good to see 'pool at the top for more than a couple of hours,
and now a crazy prediction for tonights game with Barca-

    Liverpool 2
    Barcalona 1

I'll be back with sackcloth and ashes later!:D

To quote a certain TV ad "bugger!" .

The sackcloth looks quite good on me and the humble pie
does'nt taste to bad, at least Man Utd did'nt win....

    Well buggrit anyway!

Heads dropped after the equaliser, though things could have been sooo different had Owen not missed that...open...goal...

    Sigh.

Shouldn't have taken Heskey off either, he was the only one winning the ball in their half. Much as I love Fowler and all, he's not really a "super-sub".

    We missed Hamann.

    Ah f*ck it...

    POXY ARGENTINIAN F*CKHEAD!!!

    Now I feel better :(

Heskey was doing a brill job and as you say Fowler aint no sub.
Danny Murphy had a poor game, I'd have put Berger on the left at half time and moved Smicer to the right, then late on if
ness, I'd have introduced Littmanan into the mid-field
    to replace Gary Mc.

What a finish from Owen, pity no one told him that the thing with the net hanging off it is the goal, world class striker from 6 yards!! my ass.

But was I the muppet that missed from 6 yards.....nope
Have to win your home games in the Champions league to progress, they needed to win that. Means they have to get at least 4 points away, will be very tough.

If I recall right, Liverpool were bottom after the first game of the
first group stage, and they finished on top.

As for the League just you wait.....

What part of "'Wan the 'Pool" attracted silly Man Utd kids to this thread? Begone!

Anyway, yea Murphy had a woeful game, I think they should have played Litmanen from the start because of his Champs League experience. Same goes for Biscan, he's played loads too.

liverpool scored and thought they would shut up shop

it worked last year with a bit of luck

but 3-1 proves you have to go out and play the game

out classed and barca didnt even play saviola

    wan barca

Mad guess here but that's probably 'cos Kluivert and Rivaldo are better.

The fact that the DIDN'T play Saviola shows how much they wanted to win; they fielded their best XI.

more to do with squad rotation

if the score stayed at 1-1
I feel he would have played
    for the last 10-15 minutes

You don't mess around with squad rotation in the Champs League, you send out your strongest squad whenever you can.

Unless you've already qualified from your group or something.

for me Liverpool didnt field their strongest team,Fowler before
    Heskey in my books

Heskey plays better with Owen than Fowler does.

Though if you had said "Murphy before Litmanen" I would have agreed. That's more down to Thompson's ill-judgment than squad rotation though. Having said that, Murphy probably did deserve to start as he has been playing well in the league.
