I am accessing the internet in work on an isdn connection which is connected to the server in the uk(it is an english company). i access the internet a lot and it dials england to establish a direct conection, i think, is there any way to connect to a server in ireland, as this would speed up my connection a little bit and maybe take the firewall off my connection. the company is small in ireland and there is only two computers connected with no server in dublin. any help??

IS your PC directly connected to the ISDN box on the wall ?

If you are on a Windows machine you could set up a new "dial up networking" account using the ocean, eircom etc. numbers.

As far as Email is concerned, all you need is the POP mail server address to use outlook etc.

I assume you want to connect to an ISP in Ireland?

Oceanfree supports 128k ISDN with STAC compression (sub-free, local call rates)

UTV Internet supports 128k ISDN (sub-free, local call rates)

I seem to recall Buy&sell.net supports ISDN too (sub-free, local call rates):

Eircom, Indigo, and others offer subscription accounts with ISDN access, although these let you use cheaper 1891 access numbers.
