Pie I think you are totally wrong there. Iran in my opinion are a class team. All they lacked today was composure in the final third of the pitch. If they finished more of their chances properly we would have lost by more.

A couple of things that also annoyed me. Why the hell are we playing with Connolly & Breen still in the team, they are sub standard players.

I think it was a good thing that we lost on Thursday when we didn't need to win. It means we can go into the world cup without the unbeaten streak hanging over our heads.

I don't honestly think that Iran are a World Cup standard team. We only lost because we played the game with very high caution. Which was the right thing to do. I couldn't be more happy with the result.

Yah yah, just annoys me how we go to Amsterdam, Lisbon etc and arent afraid to play and then we go to Tehran and are afraid to leave our own half!

Yes i would have to agree with Pie , We should have went to tehran looking to beat Iran there and show we deserve to be in the world cup.

But that was a very different situation. It was a League situation this was a Knockout situation.

All the more reason to go for the goal and kill the game off, as they couldn't have made up for it at a later date if they had lost.

Ah well, who cares, we're through that's all that matters.
