CD-to-MP3/WAV?

    Greetings to you mortals,

    Oops... I mean hello all,

Wasn't sure if this should go in Technology or Music so I did eeny-meeny-miny-mo; please don't rip out my entrails if I got it wrong :)

I'm trying to take some songs from different music CDs to use in CD compilations along with MP3 or WAV files. My CD-Recording software apparently won't let me copy individual songs from CD (I'm using Nero Burning ROM) and the only way I know of doing it is to first copy the CDs in Windows Media Player (but with a max bitrate of only 160) and then change the WMA file to MP3 or WAV.

Anyone know of any free software or Winamp plug-ins out there that can copy songs from CD in full 320-bitrate glory?

    Thanks,
    Zaphod.

Googlise 'CDex' - that proggie should do the trick.

Try manually copying the music tracks you want into a folder on your hard drive, then get Nero to burn the contents of that folder to CD?

And yea, CDex is great :)

Audiocatalyst is a pretty neat proggie for making mp3's from CD's, you should be able to get a trial version anyway to check it out.
