Internment, torture? Is anyone else getting the slightest bit uneasy?

Now I know it won't affect nice white, Christian folk like most of us too much(albeit in the relevant countries), but if you were a refugee fleeing an oppressive Islamic regime with perhaps links to "terrorism", you might be more worried. Imagine, arriving in a haven of democracy like the UK, only to be locked up for no reason other than being "suspected" of being a possible terrorist. I can see why they might turn to internment though, I mean look how effective it was against the IRA, and how it strangled the life out of that organisation. [< Sarcasm]

People might stop looking to the UK as a place to seek asylum in....bonus!!!

What do you all make of this? If you can't beat them, join them?

Internment in England years ago probably did more to help the IRA cause better then any other campaign they did.

Considering I've had to fill out a terrorist form when visiting England and I know a lot of other people who have had to as well it scares the hell out of me.

Ironic really... Consider the slogan the US and UK used to rally support for their war on Afghanistan after the sept 11th...

"We are fighting for Freedon, Democracy and Justice"

Where is the freedom, democracy and especially the justice in internment? Its that little bit worse than the reasons for the war in Afghanistan.... "Dead or Alive" but with no proof..... ffs...

Justice = "Innocent until proven guilty" Wheres the proof?
I dough that poor village afghan kid that lost his sight from a US bomb really matters... Its all in the name of justice... lol

    What goes around comes around...

Wow, the English only o bay the laws they want, I never would have thought.

Next you will be telling me they hold up corrupt governments for their own reasons and bomb neutral city’s to influence the democratic process.

Seriously though, who didn’t see it coming? I look forward to watching the Muslim riots that are assured to follow son after this is made law
