    I'm guessing that fine's aimed at po' students who couldn't afford it anyway, and have enough time on their hands to attempt such a muppetous act- shocking though.

    I wonder if the Courts Act says anything (it updates fines without having to renew an entire act).

    But you could get 5-10 years for other related offenses.

    I did here that a chap in the west of Ireland got 7 years for an Anthrax hoax.

    Surly Anthrax mailers would be charged under "Offenses Against the State" and not breaking mailing laws
