Big game tomorrow, could have a big influence on the title even at this early stage in the season.
I'm backing Liverpool to continue their excellent run against Utd, especially with Keane out (or is he?)

    Liverpool 2 - Man Utd 0
    Owen(17)
    Gerrard(63)

    Super Reds Forever!

    2-0 to the 'Pool

Superior confidence, form and will to win @ this point in time will prevail:)

    2-1

Two for Owen and Veron will pop up with a goal in about the 82nd making the last 10mins too nailbiting to watch :\

Liverpool to win a tight game with the clincher coming
on the break from sub Robbie Fowler.

    Liverpool 1 United 3
    Owen Van Nielstelroy (2) Beckham

Although the pool have improved lately they are still miles behind Utd in regard to flair and attacking options. I think Steve Gerard is the only Liverpool player who would even get onto the Utd team. Maybe Risse?

    Ha ha ha !

You have'nt seen your defence lately I take it?

There are none so blind as those who support Man Utd. :D

Couldnt have put it better myself and as for the result, itll be a tight match also with the regular Liverpool defence injured I have some concerns but I feel that Liverpool should win it 3-2 as for the scorers god knows hopefully Fowler bagging all 3 :)

    Hyypia might be playing.

    Is Wright suspended?

It seemed Man U were ahead by quite a bit this time last year, if Liverpool win two games in hand they top the table, tomorrow is big match for United me reckons......but Liverpool to win.

3-1 to Liverpool. Owen(2), Murphy and Van Nielstelroy the scorers. With no Keane Utd will be overrun. :)

Utd without Keane means I think Liverpool will take the points. But as an Arsenal fan I'm hoping for a draw :)

AFAIK Wright's suspension doesn't kick in until the next match, not that it will make a huge difference though, I think Wright has been excellent in the games he's played and Carragher has continued to prove himself as one of Liverpool's if not England's most complete players. You can't beat 100% heart and dedication, you get the feeling he really would die for the cause, Jesus I think I'm going to cry.

*sniffle* Walk On! Walk On! *sniffle*

Lets hope that they can keep up the excellent run against ManU.

    ;)

Hello? Michael Owen? Without doubt one of the greatest players in the world: the pace, the single-mindedness, coolness. And as France 98 and last year's Cup Final proved always the man for the big occasion. I would accept that overall United have better individuals than Liverpool but I would not have anyone in the world ahead of Owen in that position.

Maybe "overrun" is putting it a bit strongly but certainly it is critical - United are half the team without Keane.

Couldn't agree more. The guy may not be the most skilful but at least he plays with an awareness of that. A f%ckin' star.

Tomorrow, Liverpool 2-1 - two for Owen.

Dudek - Ecxellent when called upon

Risse - OOOHHH Arne Rise OOH AAAHH I wanna knoooooww how you got that goal!! What a strike!

Carragher - Brilliant as usual, took Quentin Fortune out of the game brilliantly allowing Gerrard to drift in to centre.

    Hyypia - Collossus

    Henchoz - A Rock

Smicer - Caused United problems from the first minute, pity about the missed goal

(Berger - Put Liverpool back on the attack after a period of pressure from United)

Gerrard - A little below par, perhaps worried about bookings\sending offs after Poll's warning early in the game, but excellent work rate and vision nonetheless.

Murphy - Justified Thommo's praise of him earlier in the week with another outstanding performance, my Man Of The Match

Hamman - Defended brilliantly, and never allowed Veron and Butt time to settle in midfield.

Heskey - Looked sluggish at times but still contributed to two goals.

Owen - What can I say, all he needs is half a chance, brilliantly taken first goal and great anticipation for the second

(Fowler - played well when he came on bearing in mind Liverpool were playing a containing game at this stage and not putting too much emphasis on creating chances)

I think I've run out of superlatives :D:D

The Future's bright the future's RED!!!

Con'grats to Liverpool today, the better team on the day won. I have no complaints or excuses on the final score and all pool supporters should savour the mo. It's a good 3points won :)
