    Is very nice

I got it working there a few min ago.

I'm using the 4.1. Xserver, and the NVidia 1.0-1541 drivers.
I had to get a redone RPM from

    RPMs

    very easy to get working.

and all I have to say is

Tuxracer is fun when it looks good and runs at a High FPS and GL Tron is such a cool game, I'm going to play it at the next network I go to :)

All I need now is a GL linux quake download and I'm set :)

    anyone know of one? :D

    Hey have you tried adding
    DefaultFbBpp 32 to /etc/X11/XF86Config
to get sparse 32 bit colour from X?
    Might be worh a try?

hmmm, I tried downloading and installing the RPMs. They installed, but still no 3D.

Is there something I'm leaving out?

    Geforce3 gf/x
    Mandrake 8.1 O/S

...when I boot HardDrake I'm welcomed with a black screen (CTRL+ALT+F7 seems to get me back to X), the video card is listed as NONE Generic VGA.

    Any advice?

    <EDIT>
    nevermind.. got it working :)

if its an nvidia card, then go to nvidia.com, go to the linux drivers page, and print the documentation. Only a few pages, and its piss easy to do if you bother to rtfm.
