Virtual Desktops

I've been using Bosskey on NT4 but it keeps crashing, the crashing itself doesn't bother me but once it does apps that were open on other virtual desktops do not re-appear, So I was wondering if anyone could suggest an alternative or even a method to unhide the disappearing apps
