    Man Utd. 1-2 Bolton

    Ireland 20 14 England

    Lecister 1-4 Liverpool

    Everton 3-2 Villa

Phew! What a day in sport!
First off, Eire beat the old enemy at a sport where Eng. are rated as the 3rd. best team.
Hats off to Warren cos the critics had the knives out after the disaster again Ecosse.
Yet again, for the THIRD time in a row, Eng. fall flat on their orange asses and fail in their attempts for the Triple Crown and Grand Slam.

Bolton. What can I say??!! ffs, possibly the result of the day.
Following on from the ass kicking Utd. got from Deportivo during the week, this MUST be humiliating!!

And then there is Liverpool. Even without our manager Gerard we have won in the Champions League ((the only British team with a gr8 chance of qualifing from stage 1))
Beaten Lecister to move within a single point of Utd. ((who are supposidly unbeatable!!!:p ))
Good work Phil. Oh, and Bob Fowler just proved everyone wrong!

    And finally Villa.
    Or to be exact
    >Schmeichel
    FFS...He scored a fukin volley!!!
    Respect

    Go on Ireland :)

Those english players looked quite upset when receiving thier six nations medals/raising the trophy.

    Yeh, about the Tri Nations.
The old way was if the teams were level on points, the trophy was shared.

Now it's sponsored by Lloyds ((English company)) and score difference comes into play.

    Typical shíte.

    Ah well, next year.....

Don't be a moron, I am a Liverpool fan but ffs you know well Man Utd are gonna qualify and Arsenal probably(hopefully not) will too

The Ireland-England game was a cracker, I was on the edge of my
seat for the last 10 mins!. Of course the final table makes the Scotland result seem even more reprehensible.
    Sack the manger! ;)

As for Liverpool, a good result for Robbie Fowler esp.
Though Phil "Tommo" Thompson still found a moment to have
a few critical words about the scally. No pleasing some folk....

I hate to rain on people's parade but the game against england, as good as it was, should be little consolation to the Irish team. They must be kicking themselves for losing against Scotland. Obviously it was a game they could and should have won. If only they'd put as much effort into that game as they put into the last two. Then maybe they might have been celebrating a double victory today.

But don't get me wrong, it was a good win today.

Otay, so the win today does put "dat" loss into perspective, but consider this..

Had we to beat Ecosse and Wales, would we have won today??

Becos of the loss, we had to prove a point today and we did it with style. I doubt Eng. ever saw a team tackle liek Eire did today.

It's a win, no matter what, we can cherish.

    C'Mon EIRE

    What a game.

England may not have been firing on all cylinders but credit where credit is due the defence was brilliant.

I was also impressed with the way Ireland took the game to england. They went onto the pitch thinking they could win and they did.

what country are you living in?

    ecosse?

    and again..sorry?
    orange asses?
and by that you mean what?
    do you mean protestant?

    Interesting comment, WhiteWashMan is Kaimera
a bigot and if so what sort, after all in his
originial post he lauds Liverpool an English club managed by a Frenchman, and if France are crap at rugby these days then
better an Irish victory than an English one...as for Ecosse, maybe Kaimera is actually French but not a Huguenot!

Which would explain (nearly) everything :D

To be seriously for a mo, its a silly comment in itself and because
not evryone in the England team is a Prod and not every player in the Ireland team bows to Rome.

    Mike.

    1. I live in Ireland ((Eire as I sometimes call it))

    2. There are times where I prefer to call countries by their old names. ((Ecosse))

    3. I get emotional when Ireland win and when it's England that are on the receiving end, I might seem a tad racist but tis only in the heat of the moment.

    4. DONT try to take away from the moment by bringing up some racist theme :p

how are you on religious bigotry then?

how are you on religious bigotry then?

Hmmm...I got issues with "certain" things but I doubt you wanna hear about them.
It's nothing that I can get into *serious* trouble for but can just get under people's skin. It's just how I feel.

    but neway...

The most important thing about this thread is

    Ireland beat England
