The oldest pub in Wexford, the Thomas Moore Tavern in Cornmarket is up for
sale. An auction date for the premises where the famous bard and songwriter,
Thomas Moore stayed in 1836, will be announced soon.
The historic three-storey building which features medieval walls is being
marketed through the auctioneering firms of John Corish in Wexford and
    Gabriel Dooley in Bray.
Steeped in character, it features a ground floor lounge and snug with
separate fire places, a second floor snug with a balcony and refurbished
living accommodation incorporating three bedrooms and a roof garden. The pub
has been run for the past twenty-one years by Cora Watson and her late
husband, Mike who sadly passed away a year ago.
