Someone pushing us into a war?

    "us" not "US".

    Some strange things.

    1. The guy that got assinated in Iseral had just before that stepped down from the goverment after being upset about the peace process. He was a hardliner and if he had his way there would be war. Yet after he is removed from power he is killed by the very people who would of benifitted from him leaving?

    2. People in Feingolds office are infected. This senator was the only person to vote against the USA act which infringes on the civil rights of US citizens (he wanted the bill but wanted parts changed to protect US citizens). In the last couple of weeks more things have been approved which have been turned down for years by the goverment.

    3. A lot of the insider trades that happend prior to the attack were made by companies/people who were retired or had dealings with the CIA. Speculation suggests that they may of been aware something was going to happen (maybe just a hijack).

    4. A lot of sanctions put in place by the US are being lifted. For example Pakistan where sanctions were for nuclear testing, and China for the Tinimen (sp?) square incident.

I can think of some more but I have to go... anyone else think of any?

That assassinated guy was missing his bodyguards when he was killed too. A bit like the Serbian assassinations.

The war has to be "sold" to the public according to this report.

The noteworthy bit is that Bush hired Charlotte Beers, former chairwoman of J. Walter Thompson and Ogilvy & Mather, two of the world's top advertising agencies, after the 911 attacks.  She is quoted with the following in the Reuters piece:

Charlotte Beers, who heads the State Department's "public diplomacy'' efforts, told the congressional hearing on Wednesday that the United States was seeking to convey four main messages:
-- The Sept. 11 attacks were an attack on the whole world.
-- The battle against terrorism is not a war against Islam.
-- America supports the Afghan people.
-- Nations must "band together'' against terrorism.

I wonder if she can just re-use some of her past clients campaigns.  Quality is job #1?  Nah, that wouldn't work.  Share moments, share life?  Too touchy-feely.  Solutions for a small planet?  Yeah, that's the ticket.

Can anyone confirm this (taken from other board)
Barak is talking peace with Arafat
Ariel Sharon walks onto Muslim holy ground - al-Aqsa mosque.
    Palestinians react violently.
    Barak forced to stand down.
Extremist right-wing Sharon elected and proceeds to escalate violence.

also I saw a mention on CNN that Bush or someone else said that "Osama is manipulating the world press".

That seems to be the sum of things
Also take the statement "the Most Significant Assassination in Isreali History" used widely this week how soon the media forget over the Assasination of Prime minister Yitzak Rabin,

    Hobbes another thing

The group that claimed responsibility for the assasination for the Tourist minister, was the same group that claimed then denied responsibility for the W T C.
Their press office is based in syria and refuse an isolated peace settlement with israel that does not encompass all arab/israeli territorial disputes. In Syrias case the Golan Hieghts
The new deal Arrafat was promoting in his recent visits was more concerned with Establishing a viable palestinian authority than restoring syrian artillery positions (as israel would see the Golan hieghts).
One dead ex-minister no more deal.

Who would want to be a Palestinian?
Speculation suggests that they may of been aware something was going to happen (maybe just a hijack).

    *Project bojinka*cough*
In june a number of American Airlines pilots uniforms and doccumentation was stolen from a hotel room in rome italy sparking a world wide security alert.
This doesnt appear to have been extended to US internal flights.
For Years Cival Aviation Security advisers have been warning over the laxness of internal flight checkin procedures.

according to this report http://www.amin.org/eng/elias_zananiri/18oct2001.html Rehvaam Zeevi had refused the services of bodyguards which might be why he was selected as a target.
