I know there has been some ppl calling for Mark Knenedy to get the flick from McCartheys team but maybe it wont be Mick making the decisions in light of Kennedys run in w/ the law.

I knew before this week he was in trouble w/ the law but as you'll see the charges are not simply a "s.49" DUI- there are 4 separate counts, of which I would imagine all carry a mandatory custodial sentence.

    This is a brief news bit from Football365 [ http://www.football365.com/Home/search.shtml/REDIR?7495 ]
    KENNEDY DENIES DRINK-DRIVING CHARGES

    Thursday October 11 2001

Wolves and Republic of Ireland winger Mark Kennedy has pleaded not guilty to four charges relating to an alleged drink-drive incident.

The 25-year-old has appeared before Macclesfield magistrates, Cheshire.

Kennedy was charged with failing to provide a breath specimen and driving without due care and attention.

He also faces charges of driving while unfit through drink and failing to stop when required by police.

Kennedy pleaded not guilty to all four offences and the case has been adjourned until January 14.

It is alleged that Kennedy, of Oakwood House, Alderley Edge, Cheshire, committed the offences in the early hours of Sunday September 9 after a night out in the village.

If that IS true... I'd say Mick won't ever pick him for the squad again. He won't be much of a miss either.
