It was funny watchin the Late Late Show with Ray Houghton, Jason McAteer and Mick "Lord God" McCarthy.

Wasn't it great hearing the greatest moment in Irish soccer being discussed in accents that were anything but Irish. But who I am to complain Houghton turned down Scotland, McAteer turned down England, And Mick has almost to the world Cup.

It is nice however to see our best players now being born and bred in this country with the likes of Keane, Keane, Harte, Given and Quinn.

Lets hope players like Clinton Morrison and other new Irish players continue to give their all like the great non Irishborn players of the past
