make sure that p3 chip is a coppermine
(600e) and dont go for the higher fsb chip
the 600eb as its dodgier for overclocking if needed in the future
10gb will run out very quickly.
for an extra 20-30 quid ye should be able to double that.

Please note that all opinions made by the being known as amp are entirely his own and nothing to do with any company he worked for or is working for or has never worked for. Besides, he generally opinionates after work hours from home, except when it's really slow cos he's fixed all the PC's and built some really high-quality, top of the range, much better than anything Dell can put together systems, especially PIII 600 based ones, even though he prefers Athlon K7's himself. Cheers. Thanks bye.

while we're on this train of thought...

where is the best place to go if your thinking about building your own system from scratch?, with the state of the IR£ vs Sterling at the moment I'd be referring to somewhere in ireland obviously.
