Just want to know what u thought about the concert for those of you who went ...
I had a great time though i thought the sound was a bit **** and you couldn't really hear the vocals that well. Shame about Sepultura too :(
However, the mighty Slayer and Biohazard played class and were well worth the money :)

    I didnt like it.
Cradle were funny enough to be enjoyable and the stage show was fun to watch but Slayer were unintelligable due to bad sound. Sepultura cancelling also removed from the value of the whole event by quite a lot. All in all i would have preffered to have spent the night drinking with all the nice people I met that day (where do all the metallers go in between these sort of events?) then to have to spend over an hour trying to like slayers performance.
    Roll on Fear Factory anyway.

I missed the show last night but I saw two shows in Stockholm and Helsinki, the line up was way better, IN FLAMES and AMORPHIS were on with Slayer and CoF. Slayer were staying in the same hotel as I was and I had breakfast with Tom Araya last Friday, and on the ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki on Wednesday night/Thursday morning, I was drinking with Amorphis til 6 am.

Just thought I'd make you all jealous.

Shame on you all! Youre probably all pissed off that you couldn't get one of those tags to allow you up front... I thought it was a great gig... I was suprised how good Biohazard were and I thought Slayer were excellent... The pit when Raining Blood was on was ****ing amazing.

Cradle of Filth sounded like a toilet gone wrong. Someone should have shoved a plunger down Dani Filths mouth.

I got one of them tags too Pornapster !!! I is still wearing it :D I was right up front the whole time and got to hold up Billy from Biohazard when he was playing infront of the circle pit :D I thought Cradle of Filth was a bit **** though, more like watching a pantomine with all the stilt walkers and stuff. Kinda took the attention away from the band ....

LOL... I wouldn't call that a circle pit! I was nearly killed in the crush gonig into that.. it seems everyone in the front was trying to get into it. I was three rows from the front during Biohazard over near Leo. (Who posed for a great photo)

Well, this would normally be the point where I would defend Cradle...

    But alas, I can't really...

With Rob now left the band, I doubt they'll be so great without him.
Him being a cheif songwriter, it can only go downhill...

No more crack-my-****ing-pants-it's-so-cool Bass Solos... :(

And whoever then next guy is, I'd seriously doubt he'd ba able (Or if they'd let him at all) to do anything near what rob did.

Does this remind anyone of certian Metallica events (Well, Rob didn't die... But still) some years ago?

Well... All I can say is, 7 albums down the line, they still kick ass as a band. Although I don't think number 8 is going to be as good.

Personaly, I love the ****ing stage show though! Stilt walkers and firebreathers and ****!?
    It's ****ing cool!!!
And that little lesbian blood drinking intermission they had in London! COOL!

Oh yea... does anyone know who that guy with the Red Mohawk was? If you do give him a big ol' **** you from me for belting me a kick in the head while he was crowd surfing when Biohazard was on. Oh well at least I can say I got that at Tattoo the Planet!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 24 Rhine

LOL Pornapster that guy is a legend ! You see him escape the Security Guys ? They where very pissed off with him cause they couldn't get him and he started throwing the fingers at them ! LOL !!!! A crowd surfer landed on my head which was a bit **** though so i understand what u mean ....

Seeing that Rob & Dani have been friends since they were kids...?
Seeying as Rob was the only one who stuck by Dani when the band nearly broke up after stuart left...

    Don't think so...

I don't get where all this ****e about Dani is coming from... I mean, I've met the guy... He ISN'T an arsehole...

I mean, people are talking about him as if he's Fred Durst...
Don't remember anything about Dani attacking Brian Molko onstage...
Don't remember him phoning up any other bands and threatening them either...
That was Fred Durst... Not Dani.

I mean... Is it popular to hate Dani Filth nowadays?

    I don't get it...

Is it just since Kerrang have been making him a "Poster Boy" for the last year...?

    I mean, I seriously don't get it...
I've been listening to the band for ages, long before Kerrang have been printing posters in their centerfold...

Don't remember Dani telling people that he was going to "Kill every mother****er in this place" like Slipknot usualy do...
Don't remember him shouting about comments in interviews that "THIS IS ****ING WAR NOW!"

I mean, I've met the guy... He's a ****ing cool fella!

I forgot to mention that I met Fenriz from Darkthrone in Elm Street in Oslo, funny guy. I also met Dani Filth in Helsinki for a few minutes, he's cool, Dani Filth on stage and Dani Filth in person are two very different people.

I don't hate the guy... I just hate his singing. Maybe thats why the bassist left. That's all I meant.

You're quite the bastard aren't you?

I was planning on going to Oslo, and checking out Elm Street, but the mate I was going to go with was hit by a train... :(

I've met Cradle, Marduk, and Mystic Cirlce...
    Also good friends with Diptheria...

Elm Street isn't the crazy black metal worshipping bar I imagined it to be, it's very laid back, and they play mostly 80's metal in it. It's a rock café, as opposed to a metal bar.

i thought biohazard were pretty damned cool.. wasn't too impressed with any of the other bands though .
Slayer were pretty cool alright, but.. well seeing as I ain't much of a CoF fan anyways, i spose it ain't too surprising that I didn't like their show.

all in all i wasn't too impressed with it all, but I ain't complainin and I think that it was money and time well spent, a sub-par metal gig in ireland is better than *no* metal gig .
    :)
