Not anymore but I lived in the states for 4 years and played in my freshman year of high school.

My position was Tight End (no double entendre jokes please:))
Then I came back to Ireland in 94 and was corrupted by the other oval shaped ballgame;)

BTW- Sky Sports only seem to be airing it on SS Extra so far this season- I still have the anlalogue subscritpion through Cablelink/NTL which is a pain the árse:(

My team are the Redskins- Used to go a couple of times every season to RFK stadium in DC- I remember when they won the superbowl in 1992- The whole city went crazy- 'Twas Brill !

I would love to play too, I have a buddy who plays 'flag' down in UL. If anyone found anywhere in Dublin to play flag or 'real' I would love to give it a go.

Sky Sports 3 show games, but you get the ultra annoying cut off at midnight, just when theres 4 or 5 minutes left int he game..

I have therefore ordered Sky Digital, so I can watch the games properly

    Flag Football is basically....

You where a waist band w/ a velcro flag attached and instead of tackling, the play is downed when someone grabs your flag- A bit like tip rugby.

Its actually alot of fun and we used to play it in school- PE etc.

A similar game that I used to play with mates in Summer was Ultimate.

It's basically like American Football with a frisbee. There's two end zones at opposite ends and the aim is to catch the frisbee inside the opposing teams zone. No running allowed when you have possesion of the frisbee and no passing by hand i.e you have to throw it to pass. Suprisingly good fun and you do get a good workout.

Me remembers funny looks from people when we played this in Stephen's Green one year:)

rofl.. thats almost EXACTLY what i was going to write.. except i lived in states for 7 years, and i left in Jr. High and we didn't have a competitive football team, but i played it a lot and got plenty of minor injuries blocking :) i was also converted by rugby which utterly owns american football imo

even tho i lived in Massachusetts, i could hardly support the Patriots who were such a joke, so i liked the Redskins :).. probably because it was 1992

Bit of a coincedence... Well there you go ;)

The patriots have had a few good seasons recently w/ Drew Bledsoe @ QB.

IF u dont mind me asking- How'd you come to live in the states and how are you over here now?
