    I have heard that it is possible to get an out of contract sky viewing card enabled to recieve the bbc, ch4, ch5 etc. If this is the case whats stopping an irish person ringing the BBC(0044 8702438000) and telling them that your viewing card is out of contract and asking them to enable it, saying that you are in the UK.

    They ask you for your UK TV licence number and tour post-code before they enable the card.
