My first big modding project.

Hi peeps... well I finally have a pc I'm quite happy with so now I'm gonna mod my case. I currently have a Jupiter full tower obtained from peats and I'm gonna tear it apart.

Just got off from a 2 hour long phone call with my dad. He's been an engineer and a builder with 30 years so obviously I'm gonna get him to do all the cutting hehe.

I'm going to take constant pics throughout the project and hopefully write an article on how I achieved it (if it turns out OK that is)

So if anyones interested I'd be glad to keep a thread updated or I'll post a link to the full article when I'm finished

I know fellas love tearing things apart and all but is there ne reason u are doing it in the first place? are u overclocking ure mobo etc? is there a need for more fans etc?

Well I have a 1.2 gig AXIA Y week 17 (not the best week but hey) clocked to 1.4 @ 1.8v and 3.4v - 133 fsb. It's currently running hot at 49 - 52 with a fop32 even though it's been lapped. Had a Titan on there but it was a piece of crap. But my Thermalright SK6 and Sunon 26cfm 60mm is on the way so that should be here monday. Hopefully that'll drop my temps plus I must register tweak it with wpcredit over the weekend.

For graphics in there I have a radeon 64meg DDR which was OEM so it was defaulted @ around 168 which i quickly upped to 184 so that's running a bit on the hot side. Haven't measured it but I'm gonna rip off the default fan and replace it with something else during the mod.

Also must buy another 256 megs of cas2 crucial to get me up to a gig of ram.

I'm moding it basically because I really want it to look different. I'm sick of the beige box.

That sounds pretty interesting , soon will be undertaking a similar project and very interested to see the case mods yer da is making for you, cutting looks a wee bit intimadating , so the more pics the better!!

so, have you decided what you gonna have as the picture on the case? i'd suggest a naked chick on a harley davidson motorcycle riding off into the sunset. if that doesnt work try some weird ass graphics ala aphex twin...
