Which ITV Region will you watch?

    In Response to Ronan's question on the icdg site, which ITV Region will you watch? UTV, or some other one.

    Personally, I am sick to the back teeth of UTV, and will watch some other one. I'll probably flick between them to see if there are any regional gems, but I think Border and HTV do a good job. Scottish is quite professional from what I've seen also. None of UTV's local programmes are any good (not that I watch them that often to find out) and they really should learn how to be professional in their presentation. In a recent Grand Prix, they interrupted the commentry to tell us that subsequent programmes would be running late. Ever heard of captions?

    Channel's efforts would be interesting to see.

    HTV will probably do the job for me...! but
    years of living down here has meant I dont dislike UTV that much yet- I far and away prefer HTV though . I saw channel when I was holidaying around Saint malo in France-some ten or 15 miles from st Hellier-it seemed like carlton westcountry, the channel that besides htv is easiest to get down south east ( but not many do as its un reliable).
    unfortunately in Saint malo the tv was French standard only in the apt so - while picture was perfect-no sound :(
    I like Carlton westcountry and am just about old enough to remember when it was westward( b4 tsw)-the first summer I found it-it was showing old gems like time tunnell when HTV (pre s4c) would have had something welsh on at the same time:(
    I can remember talking to some one from manx radio who told me that they call Border on the IOM-"Boring Border" and actually prefer to watch HTV or UTV-We get Border here sometimes and I dont think Its that boring.
    Have seen HTV west here too very rarely and apart from local news was a carbon copy of Wales without the few welsh docu's and live progs etc-even HTV wests add are the same as wales-so no Sky fta issues in that region
    Its going to be fun so hope they hurry it up.
