    AI
    Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
    Shrek

The first two were about the only truly thoughtful films I've seen this year... And Shrek was about the only genuinely funny one.

I'm discounting the following films which I've heard are fantastic, but haven't seen, unfortunately: Moulin Rouge, Battle Royale, Tigerland.

tigerland is a great film. only thing i didn't like was the director shaking the camera to add realism.

Given its been a disgraceful year for films I almost feel loathed to respond but... respond I will!

-Shrek- for being slightly inventive and humorous
-Best in Show -again more humours than most anthing else
    -The Dish- watchable

Tigerland-just pipped into no.4 - Joel Schumacher I think wants to give ppl headaches w/ that shaky camera alrite;)
Moulin Rouge- close 5th- Original and Inventive- if not slightly laboured!

I noticed a few of you saying that one of your fave films this year was Final Fantasy.... I found that to be the most annoying film this year. I've seen old bruce lee films with better lip synching.

Oh and my fave films of the year were

    Shrek
    Cats and Dogs
    Cant think of anything else

    Shadow Of The Vampire
    Final Fantasy
    Ginger Snaps

Not that many films I can think of, off hand...

Dracula 2001 was good for a laugh!
    Who else thought so?
Man, that was funny... Some clever little bits too...

Not as good as Shrek though!

The Cigarette Smoking Man.....are you mental?

The Score and 15 minutes are bad films! I thought that the only good thing about the score was ed norton, deNiro was not good and brando came across as camp/gay.
15 minutes was a bad film, i thought would end when the biggest name in it was killed, but it dragged on for another 15 minutes, and another and another! WHY?

    BAD FILMS YOU STUPID MAN!

OK I only have 2 so far (Ginger snaps is on the way from Austrailia on DVD :))

    Mine would be
    1. Tigerland (absolutely excellent film)
    2. 3000 miles to Graceland (A Robbery where all the thieves are dressed as Elvis just has to be a bit special)
    (both those are Region1 DVD's)

I have to go see Moulin Rouge as well and I'm buying Shrek on DVD.

    Gandalf.

this year had alot of good films and a few great ones.
    (in no order)

    1. Exit Wound
    2. Romeo Must Die
    3. Shrek
    4. Gladiator
    5. Almost famous

oh if you get the shrek on dvd from america you can see an alternate ending.

Moulin Rouge is balls = soppy , manipulative , dribble. "Romeo Must Die" now theres a real love story. I liked "romeo and juliet" by Baz Luhrmann and i hoped he do good with "Moulin Rouge".but oh no lets make a musical (could have worked if he didn't rune Smells Like Teen Spirit)
