Thanks Doc. Actually learned a good lesson from my play with you...my betting patterns can be a bit obviuos and i'm a bit of a rock fish

Very annoying when it goes down but everyone more or less got the money of third place which i can live with even if there was one very very smallstack left

I think it's very easy to make a profit on betfair. People are idiots....had one goon trash talking me for paying to see the flop everytime i was small blind and him big (at the smaller blinds when i had built up a big stack) and he reckoned he had me all figured out till i knocked him out.

Problem is it's 3hrs work for that $30 so i ain't gonna get rich quick and i really can't afford to play at a higher level.

just think of it as free money because if you put it in an hourly wage frame then eventually you will burn out or worse, play above your limits.

we're all grinders here. the best u can hope for is to win a ticket once a year for something good.

i'd hate to see you go down the 'poker as a job' road, like me, coz its a pain in the ass.

yeah...suppose that is the best way to look at it. I just feel i grind and win to the detriment of hving fun while the others are playing and having a laugh. Suppose that's a consequence of reading all the stuff on here :p

Still it is fun to get the money:D

A similar thing happened to me in an MTT. I was 1st in chips, 8 left and there were a few very short stacks.. PPP used the 50-50 rule which seems fair to me. Prize pool is split in half. One half is distributed evenly to all players. The other half is distributed to all players based on their chips stack.

So if total prize pool is X, there are 9 players left and you have 20% of the chips

    Your refund should be (X/2/9) + (X/2) * .2
