Buses through the Phoenix Park?

This seems an obivious solution to D15 traffic problems. It would mean a straight road with no traffic lights and bring you onto a proper QBC on the quays. It would also open up the park for recreational use for people who have no car access.

At the moment commuter buses are denied access to the park due to c1985 law. I think this is absurd and should be changed.

Then change it. I thinks its the Phoenix Park Bye-Laws that prohit busses & commercial vehicles.

Diesel-electric hybrid buses, with their smaller diesel engine should be a lot quieter than the current DB fleet. DB should be funded to get some for noise sensitive routes like the PP and link to the new PP rail station on the Maynooth line.

The park would be a lot quieter if cars were banned and only public transport allowed.

I really don't think noise is an issue anyway, it is just a ridiculous ban that should be removed at least for service buses.
