Ripwave and Wireless Router

I recently got ripwave and I'm trying to set it up with a wireless router so that I can use my laptop all over the house. One of my former housemates gave me his eircom netopia wireless modem, and I'm just wondering if you can set up a wireless internet connection using ripwave?
My laptop can pick up the wireless network alright, but it won't connect to the internet. Can anyone tell me if I can tweak some settings to get it to connect to the internet or if it is even compatible?
    Any help is much appreciated!

You need to connect the cable from the Ripwave Modem to your Router...then your laptop should pick uo your router....

I am using a Clearwire Modem with a Linksys Router to access the net. I did have Ripwave modem..I know it works...
