I was thinking about these Fiats just the other day!

I recall a guy in my home town having a new one back in c.1982/83, in black ....... and it was the biz !!

I've seen a few standard 127's at Irish shows in the last few years, so I don't see why there may not be a few GT's/Sports about ......perhaps one or two are being restored as we speak/type ?! ;)

A pic for those who never saw one ........

We had too of these over a period of time and my Dad and older brother done a foestry rally in one. Needless to say that is why we had to go out and buy the second lol .

We also had the later model, I think though that was the 1300gt which I saw one of recently around Dublin I think.

The one in the pics is actually a 127 Sport. Was it not?

Great little car, untouchable on a back road.

I owned 3 BZL which was a black Sport, a friend of mine is restoring it at the moment, I also had 45 CNI which was a Sport fitted with a 1300 GT engine, but it came to a sad end , on its side:( . My brother had 277 UZU which was a red 1300 GT, he once overtook 2 Lancia Integrales with it,9000 RPM in 4th was needed :D. I've got a rustfree silver GT for restoring. 919 SIM

a pilot for air lingus bought it so it could of been north.

...........that was it then. There was a bunch of guys from Aer Lingus with these 127's back then. I knew one of the guys who had a standard 127 and he was always tinkering with it !

Those Fiat engines were real screamers !

Reminds of coming back from the Killarney Rally in an RS2000, with an indicated 120MPH and this Fiat 128 3p drove past us !! :D

Know of a reasonably tidy 128 3P, for 750 euro's... Has rust in the panels, but everything is there, tidy interior, nothing missing, very doable project...

The only guarantee you'll get with a Fiat is rust anyway.:)

    Interesting 128 3P Paul.

I recall my local Opel dealer (back in c.1983 when I was a nipper:D ) kitting out one of them for rallying.

Always liked the look of them !

........if only I had the space to store it
