xbox live on 360

    does any one know if your old xbox live a/c will work with the 360 or do you have to sign up for one of these fancy gold a/c's

    My understanding is that, if you are already subscribed to live, it will automatically be transferred to a "gold" subscription for the 360.

    Also, if you have your gamertag linked to a .NET pasport, it makes things even easier. You can set up your gamertag/gamertile now on www.xbox.com and, when you login to Xbox Live for the first time, your gamertag settings will be copied to your new machine.

    How will you make the switch? I mean, your live account among other things will be lost because the memory cards aren't the same, unless you can network the two or something like that?

    I would assume its all server side and can probably be transfered by just logging in from your 360.

    possibly true for the live account, but what about my saves, and what about any additional content people have downloaded and paid for? I suppose some of it doesn't matter, because it's free now, and the games that still charge probably won't work on the 360 anyway!

    No way of transferring saves unfortunately, also any extra content will need to be downloaded again (premium content is tied to your account, not your Xbox so you don't need to pay for anything again).
